As you have noticed, I have been absent for more than a week at the beginning of March. No, it was not my willingness to forget about you, my dear readers. I was struggling both with my ISP provider – who are still “fixing the issue” and… my health.
At the end of winter, most of us is at higher risk of catching cold or influenza. The topic of swine flu is vivid again on the media. Fortunately, in my case, it was just cold and I have recovered at last.
Yet even catching cold may have a positive impact on your life.I would like to present you some of them below.
1. You can focus on the activities that have been neglected because other issues were more important – or neglected because of laziness. Of course, not in the most severe period, when you cannot get up and just need sleeping.
Let’s take writing positive affirmations or repeating them. You are more often under the alpha state, which is favorable in case of reprogramming your subconsciousness – and therefore – your life. Thake adventage of the time you can just lie and even repeat your positive statements in your minds.
2. Illness is another kind of challenge to win. Of course, you need to rest and recover first, not force yourself to work, even if you may be behind. But you may think the strategy for the next (hopefully not happening), crisis situation and being better prepared. Hence, staying in bed or at home is a great opportunity to make plans, especially in order to improve your performance.
3. You have more time for your friends and family, who probably spend more time with you – just because of care or visiting you. It may also happen that you, because of loneliness, may be more inclined to call them – just to talk out.
4. Illness is also a better time to clean out your inner self, also by talking to others, who will have more understanding for your emotions – because of your health. But be careful as being ill may lead to complaining or moaning, which manifest victimism, not catharsis.
Of course, being ill makes conversations more difficult, you may easier lose your temper, it is harder to control your emotions. However, take the challenge to fight – at least a bit – for the balance of mind.
Do you know any positive sides of being ill? Of course, I am not talking about cancer or disability, as these are another kines of illnesses, invonving different types of challenges to face. Today’s tips may be also useful for incurable of permanent indisposals, yet only partially and together with other tips, which I will describe in my following posts.
How do you perceive illness? Do you agree with today’s tips? Have you ever tried any of them? Share your views on this blog and on my facebook group – The Winner’s Club. Have a nice day.
