I have mentioned the 3 reasons of helping people in my recent post. But, as you might expect, there are many more factors, triggering your emotions. Think of how unique every single person is. The reason adequate for you may be not for your mother or best friend. Hence, discover actually yours, subjective reasons, motivating you to support others.
1. You want to follow your heroes – you admire some one and see that this person is generous. Look at musicians, sport stars or politicians. Think of Bill Gates, late Princess Diana. How do u think, how many people joined her charity actions? You can find many similar “stars” in your own country – what are their names? The help does not only need to be material one. Think of the other support with which you may provide to other people.
2. You help others to accomplish your goals. Yes, helping may be the tool to obtain an access to the means that you need. It means – the “win-win” transaction. No one is perfect. Both in business and in personal life, there are fields in which you will need help, because you are weak in some fields. Otherwise we would not be unique, everyone would be capable of doing all on his or her own. How do you think, would you be interested in other people at all then?
According to Brian Maxwell, you can help others to see them happy, better connected with family or organizations. He also mentions the importance of positive atmosphere, at which you are working and living. If you helped others to achieve the above goals, what could you expect in return?
Beating your competition is one of the goals that you can achieve. It simply means – who helps more, in better way and whose help is more appreciated. Then you are not seeking mutual support, but your own satisfaction. Have you found any examples of businesses, using charity as their marketing strategy, especially on the media? What about campaigns before elections? Which candidates, are famous of promising their “help”, in case of their victory?
3. You want to obtain help from other in return. But we focus on the deed instead of its advantages here. If you acknowledge that you actually have weak areas in your life, you will seek help when needed. Helping others mean that you can expect the same – sometimes without reciprocating. It takes place especially during emergency situation. But in most cases you can take a well-planned step.
4. You want to feel better and boost your ego. There are many reasons that can boost your mood – just because you can do something for others. It means that you feel competent. In the world of constant rat-race, seeing as competent empowers you dramatically. Your self-esteem rocks and it’s easier to take more difficult challenges then. Then even the toughest competitors at least seem less dangerous.
5. Your satisfaction is even bigger when your efforts are recognized and you meet with gratitude. Then you not only believe in your skills, but in the purpose of helping others at all. More than that, you can proudly announce how generous you are and how much people like it.
I have not listed all the reasons here. There are more motivators, inclining you to open your wallet or devote some time for others. Have you got any ideas? Share with us here. You can help me to create another list of tips – this time it will be your contribution.

This domain appears to get a good ammount of visitors. How do you advertise it? It offers a nice individual spin on things. I guess having something real or substantial to say is the most important factor.
