Are Your Goals Written On the Sand or On the Rock? Part One.

Yesterday I was celebrating my another birthday. The weather was beautiful so I went to the seaside. It was a great opportunity to write some wishes on the sand and watch how the coming high tide is flooding the words. Have you ever tried a similar experiment? If not, take the chance  – you will have a lot of fun.

However, today’s post will not focus on birthday celebrations. Well, to some extend.

Birthday wishes are a kind of dreams which can become goals that you want to achieve. All depends if the wish is general or connected with the real goal on which you are already working.  The problem with wishes written on the sand is that they disappear – washed away.  Today we will discuss two aspects, helping you to protect your artwork – not only on the sand.

Firstly – all depends where you write your wish. The beach is good for fun or as a kind of symbol. If you want to put an emphasis on universal energy – using the water, while making your wish -  is a perfect tool. However, if you focus on persistence, durability – then the beach may not an appropriate place. But even the hardest rock can erode or be broken because of the wind, thunderstorms or human activity.

In case of writing your wishes on the rock or the sand, you can find one more meaning: new beginning. If the water takes away your wishes, a new journey starts. Rock fragments undergo the same process, while falling off the plate and being carried by the wind. Both are new beginning – writing your wishes and taking their energy during flooding the beach or breaking the rock.

Secondly. Birthday is a good moment or to start or renew something. If you failed to commit to your New Year’s resolutions, take another chance. It may be your birthday (not necessarily according to Gregorian calendar), nameday or any important day – even the beginning of the next week or month. It is never too late to start again. Sometimes it is necessary to refresh your resolutions, the same as to paint the house. Then it is clean – empty and ready for new furnishing.

No victory was scored without effort. Sometimes it meant – trying many times. it may happen that you will write your goals or wishes many times on the sand or the rock – until they materialize. Why? You will learn from my next posts.

Tomorrow you will learn more about the theory of writing on the sand or the rock. In the meantime, I invite you to share your views under this post and on my Facebook group.
