7 Ways To Win the Battle Of 2011 – Part One.

You have already read how persistence is important in order to pursue the goals set for 2011. This year is another battle in your life. It is another stage getting you nearer to your full happiness and freedom. But what can you do to increase your chance to of win? And who is your enemy?

As a good warrior you know that no battle is won without the right strategy, which is chosen according to your winning potential and your enemy’s power. That is obvious. But are you aware what exactly needs to be considered? I will give you seven tips here. Using just them your chances will increase.

1. List all the enemies that you will be fighting with. I was writing about it in the past, but this issue is even more important here. Do this homework for each New Year’s resolution. After nearly 12 days you have probably noticed, who and what is your foe – better than at the end of December.

2. Group your enemies. Therefore you will prepare separate tactics which will be more efficient. You are fighting against other people, unpredicted events, but also – against yourself. And it is yourself who can be the toughest to beat. Brainstorm and list all the ways which can be helpful to cope with each of these three groups.

Of course, you can divide your foes in other way. And the fist two groups can also be split into other categories. But remember – grouping needs to serve more efficient tactics, not complicated scheme. Therefore be moderate, while defining the number of groups.

3. Choose the toughest foe from each group. It will be your biggest challenge to take and win. You need to be aware that these enemies will cause the most troubles and you will be prone to resign the easiest – if not protected. Carefully evaluate your forces and their power. It may happen that the enemies are really stronger than you. But it does not mean you cannot win. David won Goliath. Yet you need very good strategy and perfect discipline. Think of helpful people – your allies.

4. List all your best kinds of weapon to use. I mean – all your skills and virtues which have helped you to achieve success in the past – the success of which fruits are still present. You will use your best weapon against the toughest enemies. But assess if they use it, too. Then you need to think of improvement.

For example – you are going to be No.1 in a given niche on the market. however, there is one, known competitor. Yet you want to take the challenge and fight. Then it is very important to know what are their strongest assets and which of them you also have. In this case – do your best to outdo your rival, being more skillful – in customer’s service, for example. Hence, you not only need to know your toughest foes, but also be aware if your strongest assets are better than theirs – if the same.

5. Remember about the rest – your minor foes. You can easily fall into the trap of neglecting easy obstacles or the people who seem to cause problems occasionally. Yet if they do cause them – you can also be distracted. More than that – neglecting your minor foes for a long time may result in serious problems. They will grow and become of the same danger as your major.

Let’s take procrastination of regular contact with your customers. At the beginning you will not see very serious negative effects of your negligence. However, the longer you procrastinate, the more severe the consequences. You do not usually see instant consequences of putting off, unless it is a really serious deadline. But then you will do your best, because it is your major challenge.
